Things to Do in Santa Teresa When It Rains
Rain does not ruin a Santa Teresa day. Spa, yoga, cafés, shops, gym, coworking and bioluminescence in light rain are all good options. Avoid the beach during electrical storms.

What we do when it rains
If you come during green season, some rain is normal. We live here through it every year, and on plenty of rainy days we just change the plan and carry on.
Go for a spa treatment
A rainy afternoon is a great excuse for a massage or spa session, especially if you have been surfing or traveling.
Take a yoga class
Santa Teresa has many yoga options, and this is one of the easiest activities to move into a rainy part of the day.
Visit local shops
Use the rain to explore local clothing, jewelry, surf and design shops instead of trying to squeeze shopping between beach plans.
Train at a local gym
If you like staying active, there are several gyms where you can get a workout in while you wait for the weather to change.
Work from a café
If you travel with a laptop, this is a good moment to catch up on work, answer messages or plan the next part of your trip.
Can you still do bioluminescence?
Yes, the tour can still run in light rain. Cloud cover makes the night darker, which can improve the contrast of the glow. If a date is not suitable, it should not be available in the booking calendar.
Walk the beach when conditions are comfortable
A light rain beach walk can be beautiful. Just stay out of exposed areas during electrical storms and follow local advice.
Do not give up on sunset
Some rainy days end with incredible skies. If the clouds begin to open late in the afternoon, go look.
And sometimes, do nothing
You are on vacation. A coffee, a long lunch, a nap and a slow afternoon are not a bad plan.
