Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use santateresacostarica.com or book a tour, transfer or service through Info Santa Teresa (operated by ISTCR, LLC). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy before booking.
Who we are
Info Santa Teresa is a local travel guide and booking platform. We act only as a booking intermediary: activities and transfers are operated by independent local providers, not by Info Santa Teresa. When you book through our site, we handle your booking request and the deposit, and the provider runs the activity.
Each provider is solely responsible for operating its activity, including its permits, licenses, equipment, staff and insurance. We select providers carefully, but we do not verify or guarantee their permits, licenses or insurance coverage.
How booking works
You send a booking request through our site and pay the online deposit shown at checkout.
Your card is only authorized at this point, not charged.
The local provider confirms availability. Once it is confirmed, the deposit is charged and you receive a confirmation email.
If the provider cannot confirm, the authorization is released and you pay nothing.
For activities without a fixed start time, the provider proposes an exact time. The booking is confirmed only after you accept it.
The remaining balance, if any, is paid directly to the local provider as shown in your confirmation. Prices are listed in US dollars. What is included in each activity is described on its page; anything not listed as included is not part of the price.
Changes proposed by the provider
If the provider cannot run your activity on the requested date or time, they may propose another option. You can accept it or decline it. If you decline, the authorization is released or the deposit is refunded in full.
Cancellations and refunds
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start of your activity: your deposit is refunded in full.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start, and no-shows, are not refundable.
If the provider cancels, or the activity cannot run because of weather, sea conditions or safety, you will be offered a new date or a full refund of your deposit.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank may take a few business days to show the refund.

Your responsibilities
Give accurate contact and booking details, including the number of travelers and children's ages.
Arrive on time at the meeting point you coordinate with your guide or driver.
Follow the instructions of your guide or driver, especially on safety.
Tell the provider before the activity about any health condition or limitation that could affect your participation.
Bring what is listed under "What to bring" on the activity page.
Risks and liability
Many activities in Santa Teresa involve the ocean, wildlife, boats, horses, ATVs, heights or rough terrain, and carry natural risks. By booking, you accept these risks. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers the activities you book.
Because Info Santa Teresa acts only as an intermediary, we are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, loss, damage, theft or delays that happen before, during or after an activity or transfer, whether caused by the provider, by you, by other travelers or by events outside our control, such as weather, sea conditions, natural events or road conditions. Any claim related to the operation of an activity must be made to the provider that operated it.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid to Info Santa Teresa for that booking.
By booking, you confirm that you and everyone in your group are fit to take part in the activity and that you participate voluntarily and at your own risk.
Use of our website
All content on this site, including texts, photos, videos and branding, belongs to Info Santa Teresa or its licensors and may not be copied without permission. Travel information is provided in good faith; conditions, schedules and prices may change.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you book apply to your booking.
