TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Giveaway: Trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica 2026
Organized by ISTCR, LLC — EIN: 35-2903635
Version 1.1 — Effective as of July 16, 2026
This giveaway consists of the opportunity to win a complete trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for two people, organized and fully funded by ISTCR, LLC. The purpose is to share the experience of this destination with the follower community of @info.santateresa on Instagram. All prize expenses are managed and paid directly by the organizers: under no circumstances is cash awarded to the winner. Services are provided in the form of reservations, tickets, and logistical coordination.
A. WHAT IS BEING GIVEN AWAY, WHO MAY PARTICIPATE, COST, AND MECHANICS
A.1. Prize — What is included
The prize consists of a trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for two (2) people, to take place between December 1 and December 15, 2026, inclusive, and includes:
Round-trip flights for two people in economy class fare (value covered up to USD 2,000 in total). Tickets are booked and paid directly by the organizers. Executive, business, and premium economy fares are not included.
Internal transfer from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), San José, to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, for two people (round trip). The mode of transfer — small plane, shuttle, or other — will be coordinated and selected by the organizers based on availability.
Carry-on luggage: one (1) carry-on bag and one (1) backpack or personal bag per passenger, in accordance with the standard policies of the selected airline. Checked baggage is not included.
Accommodation for seven (7) nights for two people in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The accommodation includes an equipped kitchen available for the winner's use.
Tours and activities included for two people (one participation per tour per person): (a) 1 surf lesson of 1.5 hours; (b) 1 bioluminescence tour of 2 hours; (c) 1 half-day tour to the Montezuma and La Florida waterfalls; (d) 1 beach horseback ride of 1 hour. The organizers will coordinate the availability and dates of each activity during the trip period.
Photographic and/or video coverage during the tours and activities included in the package. The organizers will be present during the activities to document the experience. Digital files will be delivered to the winner in digital format.
Travel insurance with basic traveler coverage, including first aid and basic medical coverage for contingencies during the trip.
Complete logistical coordination by the organizers.
The total estimated value of the prize is USD 5,700. All payments, reservations, and coordination are carried out exclusively by ISTCR, LLC. Under no circumstances will cash be awarded to the winner. The organizers select service providers at their own discretion, within the stated parameters.
A.2. Prize — What is NOT included
The prize does not include the following, which are the exclusive responsibility of the winner and their companion:
Processing, procedures, and cost of passport and/or visa. The winner and their companion are responsible for having valid and current immigration documentation to enter Costa Rica. The organizers assume no responsibility for entry impediments resulting from expired, incomplete, or rejected documentation.
Meals and beverages. The accommodation has an equipped kitchen available for the winner's use. Expenses at restaurants, cafés, or other food establishments are the winner's responsibility.
Checked baggage, excess baggage, additional suitcases, or special luggage. Any charge imposed by the airline beyond the included carry-on luggage is the winner's responsibility.
Local transfers not coordinated by the organizers (taxis, vehicle rentals, motorcycles, public transportation).
Personal expenses, souvenirs, purchases, and entertainment not included in the tour package.
Any tax, fee, or charge that the countries of origin or transit apply to the winner by reason of the trip.
Medical expenses that exceed the coverage of the included travel insurance.
Extension of the trip beyond the seven (7) included nights.
Any other expense not expressly specified in section A.1.
A.3. Who may participate
All natural persons who meet the following requirements may participate:
Be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
Have a valid email address.
Not be a resident or national of Cuba, Iran, or North Korea, in compliance with the regulations of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of the Treasury.
Not be a relative of the organizers by blood or affinity up to the fourth degree.
Not be an employee, collaborator, or contractor of ISTCR, LLC, nor have been one within the 120 days prior to the date of the giveaway.
A.4. Cost of participation and odds
Participation in the giveaway is free and open, with no purchase necessary. There are two participation methods: free online form and paid method. Additionally, there is an optional extra participation method through a video on social media.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries registered at the close of the period on October 29, 2026. Each entry represents an equivalent chance out of the accumulated total. Participants with multiple chances have a proportionally higher probability.
A.5. Free method — Online form (primary AMOE)
To participate without making any purchase, the interested party must complete the free participation form available on the official giveaway website (santateresacostarica.com/sorteo-amoe). The form requires the following information:
Full name.
Valid email address.
Confirmation of acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Confirmation of being at least 18 years of age.
Each person may complete the form only once, obtaining one (1) entry in the giveaway, equivalent to the minimum entry of the paid method. Multiple forms completed by the same person, regardless of the email used, will be disqualified. The form must be completed before October 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM (Costa Rica time) to be included in the giveaway.
A.6. Free method — Physical letter (secondary AMOE)
As an additional alternative method, the interested party may send a physical letter by postal mail containing the following information:
Full name.
Complete postal address.
Valid email address.
Contact phone number.
Date of birth.
Express declaration of acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The letter must be dispatched before October 23, 2026, and received before October 29, 2026. It is recommended to notify the shipment by email to infosantateresa.cr@gmail.com indicating full name and date of dispatch. This notification is not mandatory, but its omission releases the organizers from responsibility for postal losses. The organizers are not responsible for letters lost, damaged, or not received due to causes beyond their control.
Each correctly received letter grants one (1) entry, equivalent to the minimum entry of the paid method.
A.7. Paid method (with purchase)
The participant may acquire chances through the official website, using the following packages:
Suerte – USD 10: 1 entry.
Bastante Suerte – USD 17: 3 entries.
Mucha Suerte – USD 47: 10 entries.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Upon completing the purchase, the participant is registered with the email address provided. Stripe Adaptive Pricing applies according to the buyer's country of origin. Argentina and Venezuela maintain prices in USD with an explanatory note, given that Stripe does not perform automatic conversion due to currency controls in those countries.
Early participation bonus: the first one hundred (100) participants who make a purchase will receive one (1) additional free entry, which is added to the chances corresponding to the acquired package. The bonus is applied automatically in order of purchase until the first 100 purchases are exhausted. Once 100 purchases are reached, the bonus no longer applies.
A.8. Refund policy
Any participant who has made a purchase may request a 100% refund of the amount paid within forty-eight (48) hours after the purchase, provided that the participation period is still open. The request must be made by email to infosantateresa.cr@gmail.com from the email address registered in the purchase, indicating the amount paid and the transaction date. The refund will be processed through the same payment method used. A refund request implies the automatic cancellation of all entries associated with that purchase.
A.9. Optional extra participation — Social media video
Completely voluntarily, any participant may obtain one (1) additional entry by posting a video on social media. This method is optional and does not replace or condition the other forms of participation. For the video to be valid, it must meet all of the following requirements:
Minimum duration of thirty (30) seconds.
Show the participant's face visibly.
Make explicit reference to the giveaway and invite others to participate to win the trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.
Be posted on both the personal Instagram profile and TikTok. It may be the same video on both platforms.
The Instagram video must tag the account @info.santateresa.
Both posts must include the hashtag #SorteaSantaTeresa2026.
Both posts must be set to public and remain published until October 31, 2026.
The organizers will verify compliance before incorporating the extra entry. A video that does not meet the requirements will not generate an additional entry.
B. GIVEAWAY PERIOD
The participation period begins on July 1, 2026, at 12:00 AM (Costa Rica time, UTC-6) and ends on October 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The giveaway will be held live on October 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM (Costa Rica time) through the Instagram account @info.santateresa.
C. GIVEAWAY METHODOLOGY
The giveaway will be conducted via live broadcast through the Instagram account @info.santateresa, in the presence of a certified notary public. The notary will verify the legality of the process, the correct inclusion of all participants, and the drawing of the winners. The act will be recorded in a notarial deed and on video.
In the same act, three (3) winners will be drawn in successive order, recorded in the notarial deed as Winner No. 1, Winner No. 2, and Winner No. 3. During the live broadcast, documents will be shown with personal data covered, preserving the privacy of participants. The names and identities of the winners will not be published until the corresponding winner has accepted the prize and given express consent to be publicly identified.
The contact process follows this order:
Winner No. 1 is contacted by email. They have 48 hours to respond.
If Winner No. 1 does not respond within 48 hours, they automatically forfeit their right to the prize, and Winner No. 2 is contacted, who has 48 hours to respond.
If Winner No. 2 does not respond within 48 hours, they automatically forfeit their right to the prize, and Winner No. 3 is contacted, who has 48 hours to respond.
If none of the three winners respond, the organizers are released from the obligation to deliver the prize. At their sole discretion, they may hold a new giveaway or declare the prize void.
D. NOTIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE
The winner will be notified exclusively by email at the registered address. The organizers do not notify by WhatsApp, Instagram direct messages, or any other means. All official communication is conducted solely through infosantateresa.cr@gmail.com.
Each winner has a single period of forty-eight (48) hours from the sending of the notification email to respond. No second contact attempt will be made. The expiration of the deadline without a response implies the automatic loss of the right to the prize.
Once the prize is accepted, the winner will have seven (7) calendar days to provide the following personal information necessary for trip coordination: full name, passport number, date of birth, nationality, and contact email. Additionally, they must sign a document accepting these terms and conditions and confirm that both the winner and their companion meet all immigration requirements to enter Costa Rica. Failure to meet this deadline implies the loss of the right to the prize.
E. PRIZE CONDITIONS
Transferability: the prize is transferable to any third party who meets all eligibility requirements established in section A.3. Both the winner and their companion must be confirmed within ten (10) days following acceptance of the prize (before November 10, 2026), notifying in writing to infosantateresa.cr@gmail.com with the full name and email of both persons. The recipient of the transferred prize must sign a document accepting these terms and conditions and prove that they meet the immigration requirements to enter Costa Rica. The organizers will verify compliance with eligibility requirements before confirming the transfer. No changes of persons will be accepted after said deadline.
Trip dates: the trip must take place between December 1 and December 15, 2026, inclusive. No dates outside that period will be accepted. The possibility of taking the trip during the year-end holidays (December 16 onward), New Year, or during the high season of January, February, and March is expressly excluded. Exact dates will be coordinated between the winner and the organizers, subject to availability. If an agreement on dates is not reached within thirty (30) days after the giveaway, the prize automatically expires and the winner will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid for their participation. The prize will automatically pass to the next winner registered in the notarial deed.
Flights: flights are covered up to a total value of USD 2,000 in economy class fare for both passengers. If the cost of the flights exceeds that amount, the winner has two options: (a) pay the excess at their own expense, or (b) decline the prize. In case of declining due to flight excess, the winner will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid for their participation in the giveaway, and the prize will automatically pass to the next winner registered in the notarial deed.
Companion: the winner must provide the full name of their companion within ten (10) days after the giveaway (before November 10, 2026), by email to infosantateresa.cr@gmail.com. Failure to meet this deadline may affect the availability of flights and accommodation, being the winner's responsibility.
Flights, accommodation, tours, and other services are booked and paid directly by ISTCR, LLC. No cash is awarded under any circumstances.
The winner and their companion are responsible for having a valid passport and meeting all immigration requirements to enter Costa Rica.
The prize is not exchangeable for cash or for other goods or services different from those specified.
F. SUSPENSION OR MODIFICATION OF THE TRIP DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE
The organizers reserve the right to suspend, postpone, or modify the trip in the event of circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, volcanic eruptions, or other similar phenomena).
Declaration of a national or international health emergency.
Political, social, or armed conflicts that affect the safety of the destination.
Travel restrictions or advisories issued by government authorities.
Any other force majeure event that compromises the safety of travelers or the operability of the destination.
In such cases, the organizers will offer the winner an alternative date within twelve (12) months following the giveaway. If the winner cannot or does not wish to accept the alternative date, the organizers will be released from the obligation to deliver the prize, without additional liability.
G. RIGHT TO CANCEL, SUSPEND, OR MODIFY THE GIVEAWAY
The organizers reserve the right to suspend, modify, or cancel this giveaway at any time if any factor interferes with its proper conduct, including but not limited to: technical errors, manipulation, fraud, unauthorized intervention, or any cause that compromises the security, fairness, or integrity of the giveaway. In case of cancellation of the giveaway by decision of the organizers not attributable to force majeure, all participants who have made a purchase will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid, processed through the same payment method used within thirty (30) days following the cancellation date. Participants who entered through the free method will not be entitled to financial compensation.
H. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
The organizers are not responsible for:
Incomplete or inaccurate information provided by participants.
Connectivity problems, server failures, digital platforms, or networks that prevent participation or the receipt of notifications.
Emails not delivered due to spam settings, filters, or other factors beyond the organizers' control.
Physical letters lost, damaged, misplaced, or not received due to postal causes beyond the organizers' control.
Damages or losses arising from the use of the prize once delivered.
Travel impediments arising from insufficient, expired, or rejected immigration documentation of the winner or their companion.
Expenses additional to the specified prize incurred by the winner during the trip.
Changes in the conditions of the destination (weather, availability of services, political or health situation) during the trip.
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings of the winner or their companion during the trip.
Incompatibility of the winner's dates within the period established in section E, "Trip dates."
I. PERSONAL DATA AND USE OF IMAGE
Participation in the giveaway implies the reading, knowledge, and acceptance of these terms and conditions. The organizers will collect and use the personal information provided exclusively for the administration of the giveaway and the delivery of the prize.
The personal data of participants who make purchases is processed and stored by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor, under its own privacy policies available at stripe.com/privacy. The organizers do not store credit card data or sensitive financial information of participants.
Upon accepting the prize, the winner grants their consent for the organizers to use their name, image, testimony, and statements in publications and content related to the giveaway and the @info.santateresa brand, on any platform and for an indefinite period, without additional compensation.
J. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
This giveaway is organized by ISTCR, LLC, a company registered in the state of Delaware, United States of America. These terms and conditions are governed by the federal laws of the United States and the laws of the state of Delaware. For any dispute arising from this promotion, participants and organizers submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Delaware, waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.
